Each and every new data centre or computer room project is managed by a dedicated project manager. Our professional project managers have over 10 years data centre experience, and therefore have the experience to ensure your project is delivered on time and on budget.
From the outset, a detailed project plan is constructed utilising MS Project allowing the data centre package to be part of a larger construction project if required. However, Powerworks will also act as primary contractor, with full CDM (Construction Design Management) responsibility and can provide an independent CDM co-ordinator on behalf of our customer. All regulatory consents such as planning permission, building regulations and obligations to CDM under the H&S executive are considered and implemented.
The project manager will provide all required site documentation, from site specific Health & Safety documents to Risk Analysis for each and every section of work. Since many of our projects involve working in live IT environments when carrying out refurbishments, all risks are fully considered, mitigated and communicated to you.
Effective project management includes daily liaison with your nominated contacts to advise on progress and discuss key milestones, control of Powerworks own engineering staff on site, as well as our subcontractors. Whether ensuring access for major plant deliveries, or ensuring commissioning engineers arrive on time to complete the works, no detail is too small to not be considered and communicated.
On handover a full O&M manual including as built drawings are provided.
